Christopher Carnes moved to Menifee in 1995 with his wife and two sons. He recently retired as a middle school math teacher working at Hemet’s Rancho Viejo and Dartmouth Middle School. He is currently treasurer of both the Arts Council Menifee and the Menifee Valley Community Cupboard. Director Carnes is perhaps best known in the community for the MaryChrisMess house, where he and his wife hosted thousands of people each year while collecting thousands of pounds of food for the Community Cupboard.
Christopher Carnes has been an umpire, coach and Treasurer of the Menifee Valley Little League, President of Callie Kirkpatrick PTA and Paloma Valley Band Boosters, President and Treasurer of the Menifee Lakes Homeowners Association and a United States Air Force Veteran.
Before moving to Menifee, Christopher Carnes worked for several companies including Walt Disney Productions, where he was controller of the Record and Music Division and Director of Participation Accounting. He was also Vice President at Karsten Realty Advisors, a subsidiary of First Interstate Bank that managed real estate pension fund assets and the CFO of a start-up asbestos abatement company.
